A Delhi police constable lost his life in a hit-and-run incident while on duty investigating a surge in robbery cases.The suspect, driving recklessly, has been identified and the vehicle recovered.

A car driver allegedly hit a motorcycle-borne constable after being admonished by him for rash driving in outer Delhi early on September 29 and dragged the policeman for about 10 metres, leading to his death, officials said.

The incident occurred around 3 am, when the victim signalled the car to stop. The driver did not comply and hit the constable, resulting in his death.
