Flight operations have been majorly affected across the country on Saturday as major airline operator, IndiGo has suffered a massive technical glitch in their systems. While the airline stated that they are working to resolve the issue at the earliest, it has not yet announced any timeline for when the issues could be resolved. Expressing frustration over the inconvenience, an X user noted that the airports are appearing as if they were Railway stations.

As per reports, the operations have been affected since noon. Reportedly, the operations momentarily resumed at around 1 PM but the system is still down.

The technical glitch has caused long queues at check-ins.

In a statement, the airline said, “We are currently experiencing a temporary system slowdown across our network, affecting our website and booking system. As a result, customers may face increased wait times, including slower check-ins and longer queues at the airport.”

It added that their team is working to address the situation and assist everyone and ensure a smooth journey.

“Be assured, we are working diligently to restore stability and normalcy as quickly as possible,” the airline said.

Taking to social media sites, users have complained that they have been unable to book tickets or use other services amid outage.

IndiGo operates over 2,000 daily flights ferrying over 2.6 lakh domestic and over 40,000 international passengers daily. It has the highest market share for domestic carriage at over 60% and on a standalone basis, it carries the maximum number of passengers in and out of India.
