Martin Lewis' MSE warns Tesco shoppers planning to visit stores before Christmas

Martin Lewis has warned Tesco shoppers planning to visit supermarkets before Christmas to act "NOW". The BBC and ITV star's team at Money Saving Expert has warned Tesco customers can now book their Christmas delivery slots for the festive season.

Tesco has also bolstered its delivery capacity by adding 60 vans to its fleet and increasing the number of available slots nationwide. "Planning to get your Christmas food shop delivered from Tesco? You can now bag your delivery or click & collect slot as bookings opened for all shoppers on Tuesday 12 November," MSE said.

"Slots were first released on Tuesday 5 November for shoppers with an 'anytime' or 'click & collect' delivery pass (where you buy a pass upfront, so you don't have to pay delivery charges each time you order). But now they're available to everyone."

The Delivery Saver service by Tesco, which starts at £2.49 per month, offers a subscription model aimed to make frequent online grocery shopping more affordable, with options for six or twelve-month plans.Clubcard holders at Tesco have the added benefit of being able to offset the cost of Delivery Saver subscriptions using their accrued points and vouchers.

Tesco Online's Managing Director, Tom Denyard, said: "As we help customers plan ahead for their Christmas shop this year, we want customers to know that time is running out to sign up for a Delivery Saver Anytime Plan and benefit from festive priority slot bookings which go live tomorrow morning.
