Jet2 has announced a major change for everyone planning to catch a flight from this month, October, until the end of the year. The popular airline, which has a hub at Birmingham Airport, issued a message to all Jet2 customers either catching a flight or booking a holiday package option.

Jet2 bosses have launched a brand-new sale across all flights and holidays departing for the rest of 2024. This is a new policy, the airline said, to encourage customers to make the most of sunny destinations on their flight schedules, particularly with the wash-out end to the UK summer.

Holidaymakers can enjoy £50 off per person on all Jet2 holidays that depart between the start of October and December 31. Those with a MyJet2 account will get £60 off per person.

The airline has encouraged customers to sign up to the app to make even more savings. However the savings only apply for those booking to travel with Jet2 from now until December 31. Customers booking ahead for their summer holidays may wish to wait, as these savings do not apply past the end of the year.

The change means that couples can save £100 if they book a holiday due to travel between October 2 and the end of the year through the website or Jet2 contact centre.

For those couples with the airline app, it would be a £120 saving and a family of four can save £200, or £240 off for those with the app. Jet2 said the decision was made to put its "biggest ever choice" of winter sun destinations on sale to help people escape the poor UK weather.

Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said: “With the dark nights closing in and the UK weather doing its best to keep us huddled indoors, we want to put some sunshine back into people’s lives. Our destinations are continuing to enjoy fantastic temperatures, so we are making it even easier to fly away and soak that up for even less thanks to this sale across all flights and holidays for the rest of 2024.

"Whether it is a winter sun break or a city break escape, we know people want to get away from the UK weather, which is why we are announcing this sale across millions of seats today."
