Budget 2025: Govt extends CKD Electric Motorcycle Usage Incentive Scheme with RM10 mln allocation

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 18): A rebate of up to RM2,400 under the Electric Motorcycle Usage Incentive Scheme will be continued with an allocation of RM10 million, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar who is also the Finance Minister said the existing Electric Vehicle (EV) Tax Incentive Framework has been restructured so that it is aligned to encourage the transition to locally assembled completely knocked down (CKD) EVs.

“At this time, Perodua is planning to produce EVs priced below RM100,000 to meet public demand,” he said when presenting Budget 2025 in the Dewan Rakyat today. – Bernama
