Amazon shoppers snap up huge bottle of Baileys cheaper than Tesco and Sainsbury's

With Christmas just around the corner, many households will be gearing up to replenish their drinks cabinets. With just over six weeks to go until December 1, there's not too much time until the festivities kick off officially.

For those who enjoy a tipple, Baileys is a must-have. The alcoholic drink combines the sweetest meeting of fine Irish whiskey and spirts, dairy cream and rich chocolate and vanilla flavours that's perfect as a standalone drink or served over ice cream 'for a sophisticated twist'.

Right now, shoppers can pick up a massive one litre bottles of Baileys for just £13 on Amazon. That's a whopping 41% saving off its usual RRP of £22. It's also available at Tesco for £22 and Sainsbury's for £21.95 - but these options don't come with the added convenience of free next day delivery for Prime members.

Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur is rated 4.9 out of five by over 14,000 Amazon customers and is a best-selling product, with 8,000 purchases of the 1-litre bottle in the past month alone. Among reviewers, an astonishing 90% have rated it five stars out of five, as MyLondon reports.

One happy customer wrote: "Purchasing Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur at a price cheaper than the supermarkets is a fantastic find. The quality and taste are just as excellent as ever, making it a great value for money. If you come across this deal, don’t hesitate to take advantage of it. But not everyone was convinced. One customer wrote: "I like the idea of cream liqueurs but they always end up being a bit sickly for me. I thought I'd try this at half price - still not exactly a bargain for what it is as a somewhat unrefined drink. I attempted giving it the oomph it needs to balance the creamy sweetness by adding whisky, but I won't be trying again."
