Tesco's important message to shoppers ahead of Christmas
by Isobel Pankhurst · NottinghamshireLiveTesco has issued a last call for customers hoping to snag an early slot for its Christmas deliveries.
The supermarket giant is reminding shoppers that they have until 11:59pm on Monday to sign up for the Delivery Saver plan and gain access to thousands of priority delivery slots for holiday groceries.
Those who enroll in the Delivery Saver Anytime or Delivery Saver Click+Collect services will be given a week's head start, with booking available from 6am the following day.
For those not signed up to these services, slots will become available on November 12 at 6am, marking an earlier start compared to last year.
In addition to providing earlier access, Tesco is also bolstering its delivery capabilities by introducing 60 new vans and creating thousands of additional delivery spots nationwide.
Tesco offers the Delivery Saver as a subscription service to help frequent online shoppers cut down on delivery costs, with plans starting as low as £2.49 a month for six or 12 months.
Clubcard holders not yet part of the scheme can use their points and vouchers to cover a Delivery Saver subscription.
Tom Denyard, Managing Director of Tesco Online, emphasised the imminent deadline, stating: "As we help customers plan ahead for their Christmas shop this year, we want customers to know that time is running out to sign up for a Delivery Saver Anytime Plan and benefit from festive priority slot bookings which go live tomorrow morning."
"We're looking forward to helping customers across the UK pick up their family favourites or treat themselves to something special this festive season. We are also excited to be providing increased capacity with thousands of extra slots available in the fortnight leading up to Christmas Day."
"And there is no better time to sign up to a convenient Delivery Saver plan and benefit from festive priority slot bookings."
"Delivery Saver plans not only give you early access to slots this Christmas, but they can also save you an amazing £176 a year on delivery or collection fees."
