Historic performance by Mahindra, records highest-ever SUV sales in October

India's largest SUV maker, Mahindra & Mahindra, today announced that it recorded the highest-ever domestic monthly SUV wholesales of 54,504 units in October 2024. This is also the best-ever monthly SUV volume clocked by any carmaker in India.

Mahindra offers SUVs like the Bolero, Thar, Thar Roxx, Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, XUV 3XO, XUV700 and XUV400 (electric).

The company's domestic wholesale despatches grew 25% year-on-year (y-o-y) over 43,708 units sold in October 2023.

Mahindra's magnificent performance in October 2024 came on the back of a record show in September 2024 when it crossed monthly SUV wholesales of 50,000 units for the first time at 51,062 units, driving past Tata Motors, which sold 41,063 units.

Besides, the Scorpio-maker was only 39 units behind Hyundai Motor India, which registered wholesales of 51,101 units in September 2024.

Mahindra Automotive Division President Veejay Nakra said that we are excited to have clocked the highest-ever SUV wholesales of 54,504 units in October 2024, a growth of 25% y-o-y.

"The month began on a fantastic note with the Thar Roxx garnering 1.7 lakh bookings in the first 60 minutes and the positive momentum continued across the SUV portfolio through the festive season," he added.
