Police rushed to the scene of the tragic crash scene close to the northbound carriageway of the M6 in Cumbria just after 4pm on October 15.

Shane Harty, 21, of Tola Park, Shannon, County Clare, pleaded guilty to one count of careless driving, which resulted in the death of front Myles Harty, 20, in August 2021, according to Irish Mirror.

"That car was flying. I saw it driving at a high speed and I was like, oh my God! because I could see disaster waiting to happen."

After news broke of Myles Harty’s sudden death, Kate Quilligan announced she would be releasing balloons at the wedding church venue, "because that’s where we should be celebrating the best day of our life at that church but instead it’s the worst"

Shane Harty, then in his late teens, was driving when the car left the road and hit a pole, killing the groom instantly and injuring another man.

Myles Harty was due to marry Kate Quilligan later that morning at St Munchin’s Church, Limerick City.
