Boeing shares are rising in premarket trading Friday after it reached a tentative deal with its machinists union on a new contract, potentially ending a crippling seven-week strike. The union will vote on the sweetened offer Monday.

The unionized machinists walked off the job on Sept. 13, halting most of Boeing's aircraft production.
