McDonald's says five items are returning this week across UK restaurants

The McRib, last seen on menus in early 2015 on a temporary basis, combines a pork patty with tangy BBQ sauce, pickles and onions.

McDonald's is introducing four new menu items this week. Customers will have to be quick if they want to pick one up as the menu item is only back for a limited time. The McRib, last seen on menus in early 2015 on a temporary basis, combines a pork patty with tangy BBQ sauce, pickles and onions.

Fast food fans will be able to buy one for £4.49 as an individual item or £6.19 as part of a medium extra value meal. Brand new Cheese Bites, which contain Mozzarella and Emmental in a smoky caramelised onion flavoured breadcrumb coating, will be served with BBQ Dip. They will be sold for £2.49 for five, or as a sharebox of 15 for £6.79.

Two new drinks will also launch. There are the new Toasted Marshmallow Latte and a Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate. Taking to social media to celebrate the launch of the McRib, one fan said on Facebook: "My absolute favourite, welcome back Ribby. Please don't leave us again."

Others wrote: "It's what dreams are made of" and "cannot wait, it's been way too long". And a fourth typed: "I'm so getting one I loved them back in the day." And another commented to say the McRib was the "greatest burger of all time".

The four items being added to the menu are Cheese Bites, Toasted Marshmallow Latte, Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate and Mini Hash Browns. The five items returning to the menu are McCrispy Deluxe, Halloween M&M's McFlurry, Galaxy Caramel McFlurry, Toffee Apple Pie and the McRib

"This is brilliant they should never have got rid!" another wrote. Another added: "McRib is back, baby!!!" A third wrote: "It’s happening people! The McRib is back after sooooo many years!!" McDonald's continues to operate restaurants across Birmingham and throughout the wider UK too.
