Stouts are currently the drink of choice for many pub-goers across the UK, as they embrace the trend of 'splitting the G', which involves sipping a pint of Guinness until the beer's head aligns perfectly with a specific part of the glass. However, for those who enjoy a smooth Guinness and also appreciate the tangy taste of single malt whisky, there's a blend that combines these two strong flavours - and it's now available at a reduced price on Amazon in a pre-Black Friday deal.
The Jameson's Caskmates Stout Edition Irish Whiskey is now being sold for £23.50 on Amazon, down from its usual price of £29 - a significant saving of £6 compared to its price at Tesco. This triple-distilled whiskey has been matured in barrels previously used to store Irish stout, which enhances Jameson's signature flavour with additional chocolate and hoppy notes.
Fans will also notice hints of cocoa beans in the mix, with a smooth finish that reminds one of milk chocolate and butterscotch. While Jameson suggests enjoying this unique stout whiskey neat, it's equally enjoyable when paired with a bitter ale or mixed into classic whiskey cocktails like an Old Fashioned, John Collins, or Irish coffee.

Shoppers have rated the Jameson's a 4.8 out of 5 stars rating from almost 4,000 Amazon reviews. One shopper said: "This has actually become my favourite whiskey that retails at its normal price within the £20-30 bracket - always a tricky region. In fact, it's joined Glenmorangie 10 as my 'favourite' for offering a quality well above its price-points. Highly recommended."
Another thrilled five-star reviewer commented: "What a fantastic whiskey," and praised, "The background smell and taste of the stout is pure heaven. Purchased during Prime Day at just under £20 a bottle, I should have ordered more.", reports Devon Live.
Meanwhile, another simply described it as: "Nectar from the Gods."
However, whiskey discovery is subjective, as noted by differing opinions. One letdown customer shared: "Did not live up to the hype I'm afraid," criticising, "It's a tad rough when you compare it to a single malt."
