Innovative technology products exhibited at Atlas Copco dinner

KOTA KINABALU (Sept 28): Two hundred clients from various sectors enlivened the Atlas Copco dinner held at the Sabah International Convention Center (SICC) on Friday.

Hosted by KTS company, the clients were from the manufacturing, cement, plantation, palm oil refining, food and beverage, construction, quarrying, leasing, oil and gas and other sectors.

An innovative technological machinery featured at the exhibition.

KTS is the sole authorised distributor of Atlas Copco products for East Malaysia for more than 40 years.

At the event, various innovative technology exhibitions and the latest solutions from Atlas Copco were held.

The exhibition featured stationary energy-saving compressors, mobile compressors, generator sets, light towers, 3D models of nitrogen generators and hydrogen booster compressors and AirNet piping systems, giving guests a unique opportunity to see for themselves the latest technological advances in the industry.

Also present at the ceremony were Public Relations Secretary to the Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship, Amos Thien who represented Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, Senior Manager of KTS Trading Sdn Bhd, Diana Lau representing the Deputy Managing Director (MD) of the KTS Group, Temenggung Dato Vincent Lau, General Manager Compressor Technique from Atlas Coco Malaysia and Singapore, Khalid Shaikh.

The highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic handing over of Atlas Copco’s nitrogen generation system from Diana to Sawit Kinabalu represented by the Director from A & C Engineering Works Sdn Bhd, Lo Fook Fak.

Among the KTS representatives present were KTS Sabah Operations Manager Wong Kee Mee, Senior Manager Ling Leong King, Sales Manager Michael Ting Sie Mee and Kota Kinabalu Branch Manager Wong Ching Diak.

Representatives from Atlas Copco in attendance included Business Manager for Industrial Water, Jonathan Huan, Business Development Manager for Gas Industry, Tim Chua and Regional Manager for Portable Water, Neo Kim Yaw.

Amos, when delivering Phoong’s speech, said that he was happy with the cooperation between KTS and A & C Engineering Works Sdn Bhd, particularly in supplying Atlas Copco with Atlas Copco’s nitrogen generation system to Sawit Kinabalu which is used at the new refinery in Kunak.

“This collaboration is an excellent example of how innovative solutions can be brought to the market through strong collaboration, further empowering Sabah’s industrial landscape.

“I encourage all stakeholders to continue to invest and embrace technological progress. Together, let’s harness the power of innovation to build a more resilient and sustainable economy, further benefiting both the industry and the community,” he said.

Meanwhile, Diana expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support from her business partners over the years.

She was proud of the success achieved together and assured that KTS is committed to continue providing innovative solutions to customers.

Meanwhile, Khalid said Atlas Copco is committed to producing products capable of reducing energy consumption in an effort to reduce the impact of climate change.

He said his side also made a large investment in research and development in an effort to produce high-impact products, thus together bringing changes to the world’s climate in a better direction.
