'Gorgeous' £49 M&S lamp almost identical to £145 White Company version

The "gorgeous" rattan lamp from Marks and Spencer is very similar to one sold by a more expensive brand.

Marks and Spencer shoppers are praising a "gorgeous" rattan lamp that is very similar to one sold by a more expensive brand. The retailer is well known for its comfortable, stylish clothing, shoes and bags, as well as its popular homeware collection.

The M&S Collection Amie Table Lamp looks similar to a product by The White Company - though there's a big price difference. The Amie lamp features a statement style, with a rounded base and tapered shade made with rattan material.

Marks and Spencer also stocks a range of other lamps in different styles, including the Kirsten Ceramic Table Lamp for £49.50. The retailer also has the Betty Table Lamp (£49.50) and the Marlowe Table Lamp for £69.

The Amie Table Lamp looks similar to The White Company Burford Table Lamp, featuring the same rattan material and round base. However, the more expensive brand has a wider shade and narrower base.

The M&S lamp has racked up a range of positive reviews, with one person writing: "Excellent quality, cosy warm lamps. So beautiful, delighted with these. Look very smart as bedside lamps."

A second wrote: "This is such a nice lamp. Looks great in my hallway and gives off a nice light. Really glad I bought it." A third shopper added: "Gorgeous lamp. Beautiful lamp. I’m so pleased with it. Really well made and different." So far, the lamp doesn't have an negative reviews.

The White Company Burford Table Lamp, which was originally priced at £145, is currently on sale for £72.50. The M&S version comes in at £49.50, which means there's a potential saving of around £95 for shoppers.
