Primark reveal opening date for new Greater Manchester store

The new Primark store in Bolton. will open next month it has been confirmed. The high-street fashion giant is moving from its current home in the Crompton Place mall to a new, bigger premises just five minutes around the corner.

They are taking over the ground floor and part of the lower ground floor of the former Debenhams store in the Market Place shopping centre, to create a new anchor store in a multi-million-pound deal.

Town leaders have hailed it as a 'massive vote of confidence' and a 'significant step' for the town centre. Primark have now confirmed the date for the move.

Their current store will close its doors for the final time at 5:30pm on Tuesday, November 26.. The new Market Place store will then open at 9am the following day, Wednesday, November 27.

All 120 staff, plus ten managers, are making the move to the new shop which Primark says will offer a "best-in-class store experience." The 26,300 square feet shop will have a full range of adult clothing, kidswear and lifestyle products. It will include self-service checkout tills and modernised fixtures and fittings. A DJ will be performing live to entertain customers on opening day.
