Asda is helping shoppers get ahead of the festive rush by officially opening its Christmas food delivery slots for certain customers from today (October 15).

If there's one universal truth of the Christmas season, it's that getting in the food can often be pretty hectic. With just under 10 weeks left to go, it will definitely pay off to begin planning ahead.

Fortunately, as of this morning, Asda Delivery Pass customers will be able to pre-book their Christmas home delivery or click and collect slots online here. All other shoppers will then be able to book their slot from October 22.

Asda Delivery Passes provide shoppers with many benefits including exclusive early access to Christmas slots. Currently, an 'Anytime 12 Month Pass' is priced at £6.95 per month, or £69.50 annually.

Meanwhile, a 'Midweek Pass' is a little bit cheaper at £3.95 per month or £39.50 annually. However, this cheaper pass does limit the days you can slots, with only Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday being available.

Those who do have one of the supermarket's pass can officially book their Christmas slot through the Asda website and app. Shoppers will need to spend a minimum of £25 for click & collect orders and £40 for any home deliveries this year.

It's also worth knowing that, once you have claimed your slot, you can still make any changes or additions to your order up until 11pm the night before your delivery or collection date.

Georgina Bell, Interim Senior Director of Asda.com commented: "Before we know it, the festive season is upon us, and lots of our customers will be looking at ways they can get ahead of the preparations. This year in particular, we’ve seen a significant increase in online searches for Christmas products, from as early as mid-September.

"Shoppers can also make changes or additions to their basket up until 11pm the night before their delivery or collection, which we know is important for those ever-evolving Christmas plans to celebrate with family and friends."

Asda's announcement comes not long after it officially revealed a look at its 540-product strong Christmas 2024 Food range that is said to "cater to everyone's needs". Packed with starters, mains, desserts and party bites, there is something for all shoppers this festive season.
