Former Nottinghamshire bank that's 'ideal for conversion into flats' to be auctioned off

A former bank in a Nottinghamshire town is to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. HSBC, on Nottingham Road in Eastwood, closed in August 2023.
Now the building it was housed in has been listed online by Pattinsons auctioneers to generate interest before going under the hammer. Bidding for the 3200-square-foot property will start at £240,000.
The pent-roofed offices are described as being suitable for a range of uses by the agents, including making "an ideal conversion to residential flats, subject to planning consent."
Currently, the property consists of a main lobby, once in operation as the bank's customer area, and three private rooms behind. Further office space and two large storerooms are found in the rear of the property, while a top floor offers two extra rooms and a kitchen.
Photographs show the empty property having been stripped of all furniture in the 20 months since its closure. The bank was one of more than 100 closed by HSBC in 2023, with Arnold's branch also closing a few months earlier in May.
Situated on the corner of Albert Street, the building, between Iceland and a newsagents, has been unoccupied since. See inside the property in our photo gallery below.
