An urgent recall has been made on a batch of a popular soup sold in Marks and Spencer stores due to the possible presence of small pieces of metal in the affected products.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) issued the recall notice on Tuesday in relation to the smooth butternut squash soup sold by the retailer.

An FSAI statement read: “Marks & Spencer is recalling the above batch of its Smooth Butternut Squash Soup due to the possible presence of small pieces of metal. Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale.”
