Virgin Media launches early Black Friday deals that rival Sky and BT

Virgin Media has unveiled its Black Friday deals for 2024, three weeks ahead of the official date on November 29. The announcement coincides with rival provider Sky launching its own offers.

Among Virgin Media's standout deals is a free broadband offer - a first in the industry, not yet matched by competitors like Sky or BT. This deal provides three months of free service on its fibre broadband plans, including those bundled with TV.

For the initial three months, Virgin Media will waive your monthly bill, with charges commencing from the fourth month of the 18-month plan. The offer applies to six specific fibre broadband plans: M250, M500, Gig1, the Bigger Bundle + Movies M350, Biggest Bundle M500+, and the Biggest Bundle Gig1 plan. Savings start at £86.97 (on the smallest M250 plan), with the maximum saving of £237 available on the Biggest Bundle plan.

As part of its Black Friday sale, Virgin Media is offering customers three months of free broadband, resulting in savings of up to £237 for those opting for Full Fibre plans or the Broadband and TV plans. Prices kick off at £28.99 per month and rocket up to £84.99 per month - this hefty price difference includes some packages which bundle in TV streaming along with the broadband too, reports the Express.

Broadband only deals:

M250 Full Fibre - save £86 then fork out £28.99 per month.

M500 Full Fibre - save £99 then shell out £33 per month.

Gig1 Full Fibre - save £125 then cough up £39.99 per month.

Broadband and TV bundles:

Bigger Bundle + Movies M350 - save £182 then pay £60.99 per month.

Bigger Bundle M500+ - save £237 then pay £79 per month.

Biggest Bundle Gig1 - save £147 then pay £84.99 per month.

Its broadband is certainly top of our list but there are also some notable mobile deals to consider. The one that catches our eye most is the £920 saving on the Galaxy S24 phone - over at O2.

However, as great as the savings are the device plans are for 48 months, so Sky's rival Black Friday offers may be more appealing thanks to the smaller 36-month plans.

Jake Hackney, taking a deep dive into current phone deals, reported: "Sky has also slashed the price of a range of smartphone and data plans with Sky Mobile's Black Friday deals. Shoppers can save up to £276 on the new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra from £38 a month down from £48 or save £180 on the Google Pixel 9 Pro from £29 a month down from £34."
