Major supermarket slashes cost of Christmas tubs to just £2.50

A British supermarket has slashed the price of popular chocolate tubs by a whopping £2.50.

Customers can stock up on their favourite Christmas treats or purchase gifts for loved ones knowing they'll be making a killer bargain way ahead of December.

In a special two-day event starting today and ending October 27, Asda UK stores are offering shoppers major savings on  Quality Street, Celebrations and Cadbury Roses, if you're signed  up to the loyalty programme. 

The offer also applies to Cadbury Heroes and Swizzels, and is best enjoyed when purchased as part of a multi-buy.

Outside of the special offer, customers normally purchase two tubs for £9, but over the next three days Asda has slashed the price down to two for £5.

This means savvy shoppers can get their favourite chocolate tubs for just £2.50 each - and here's how to get your hands on them.

First, you'll have to sign up to the Asda Rewards Programme. The Asda Rewards scheme is available only to shoppers who download its smartphone app.

If you've already got the Asda Rewards app, you'll notice special discount coupons in its wallet section, starting today.

Simply head into your nearest Asda store, select your desired Christmas treats, pop them into your basket and head to the till.

Once there, just scan the coupon in the app's wallet section and the discount is yours.

The news comes as Asda has revealed 100 new festive dishes that will be added to their premium range ahead of Christmas.

The countdown is on with exactly two months until Christmas - and the supermarket is ready to introduce their new luxury products that range from mouthwatering meat joints to indulgent sweet treats.

Much of the new range is designed for convenience, so people can host their guests during party season in a fraction of the time.

The supermarket has been launching new Exceptional range products since May, with some of the most loved items being Exceptional Scotch Eggs, Quiche Lorraine, and Black Cherry Yoghurt.

New 'luxury' items include the Exceptional Welsh Lamb Shoulder with Fig, Whiskey & Spiced Honey Stuffing, the Exceptional Lightly Smoked Salmon Plait with Figs and a Spiced Honey and Whisky Glaze and the Exceptional Classic Mince Pie.
