Commercial LPG Cylinder Rates: Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have announced an immediate revision in the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders, a move that set to impact businesses. The price hike comes just ahead of major festivals like Dussehra and Diwali.

The cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been raised by Rs 48.50, while the price of 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders has increased by Rs 12. However, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged, with the 14 kg cylinder still priced at Rs 803.

This is the second consecutive hike, following a price increase in September when the cost of LPG cylinders rose by approximately Rs 39. The 19 kg commercial cylinder had then climbed to Rs 1,691.50, up from Rs 1,652.50.

At the beginning of each month, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) announce revisions to the prices of cooking gas and jet fuel. These adjustments reflect the constantly shifting market conditions. LPG cylinder prices are influenced by various factors such as global oil prices, foreign exchange rates, taxation policies, and the dynamics of supply and demand.

Meanwhile, the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) in Delhi has been cut by 6 per cent, lowering the cost from Rs 93,480 to Rs 87,597 per kiloliter as of Tuesday. This is the lowest ATF price since April 2024, providing some relief to airlines.

Last month, jet fuel prices in Delhi saw a 4.6 per cent reduction, bringing the cost to Rs 93,480.22 per kiloliter, after two consecutive price increases in August.
