OPPO announced two new high-end smartphones in China recently, the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is coming, that much we know, but one surprise launch could come alongside it. OPPO is allegedly getting ready to announce a small flagship.

Based on a report from Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known tipsters out there, it’s happening. The OPPO Find X8 Mini could launch alongside the OPPO Find X8 Ultra.

OPPO seems to want to follow the trend other companies have started this year. Google, Apple, Xiaomi and Vivo all have smaller flagship smartphones to offer. Well, OPPO wants to throw its own into the ring.

This is, of course, not a confirmation by any means, but Digital Chat Station is usually accurate with his predictions. Granted, he did not say anything for sure, he seems to be guessing, to a degree. So, we’ll have to see.

Even if the OPPO Find X8 Mini does arrive, we’re not sure it will make it to global markets. It could be limited to China, but that’s unlikely… if it becomes a thing. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is coming to global markets, for sure.

The OPPO Find X8 series is coming to global markets

The company officially confirmed that the OPPO Find X8 series is coming to global markets. We’re not sure if both the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro will arrive, but it’s possible. We also know that it will happen at some point this month, and OPPO Indonesia confirmed as much.

In regards to the OPPO Find X8 Mini, if it arrives, it could be fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC… if OPPO doesn’t opt for the Snapdragon 8 Elite of course.

The OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are both fueled by MediaTek’s flagship. The ‘Ultra’ model, on the other hand, will almost certainly use Qualcomm’s chip. So, considering that the ‘Mini’ is allegedly coming with the ‘Ultra’, who knows, they may use the same chip.

As a reminder, the OPPO Find N5 is also rumored to launch alongside the OPPO Find X8 Ultra. That information also came from Digital Chat Station a while back. Do note that those devices are expected to launch in Q1 2025, though, not in November.
