Oppo Find N5 to be the most powerful foldable smartphone next year, claims rumor

by · Android Headlines

The Oppo Find N5 would be the most powerful foldable smartphone of 2025, claims a new rumor. The most likely reason for this claim would be the chipset Oppo could be packing inside the foldable Android smartphone.

Why will the Oppo Find N5 be the most powerful foldable smartphone of 2025?

Oppo launched the Find N3 last year. The company is yet to announce the successor to the popular foldable smartphone. As the Chinese companies avoid the fourth iteration of devices, Oppo would launch the Find N5, running ColorOS 15 out of the box.

Oppo was supposed to launch the Find N5 this year. However, according to tipster Smart Pikachu, the Oppo Find N5 would launch in the first half of 2025 and it would be the most powerful foldable smartphone of the year.

The post on Weibo might suggest that no other smartphone brand may launch a foldable smartphone next year. However, the actual reason behind the claim would be the chipset that would power the Oppo Find N5.

Multiple reports have claimed that Oppo has opted for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC (System on a Chip) to be embedded inside the phone. Needless to say, the flagship Qualcomm chipset is still the reigning champion. Incidentally, the highly promising MediaTek Dimensity 9400 failed to beat the chipset in a synthetic benchmark.

Oppo’s upcoming flagship has an “enhanced metal texture” and wireless charging

Oppo has been rather successful in protecting its Find N5. In other words, the core specifications of the foldable smartphone have largely remained a closely guarded secret.

The tipster, however, claims the Find N5 has an “enhanced metal texture.” The flagship foldable smartphone is rumored to support “wireless magnetic charging”. Hence, Oppo may have tweaked the surface of the Find N5 to bear a metallic appearance.

The foldable Android smartphone will feature a circular camera module housing three 50-megapixel sensors, the tipster added. Previous rumors have reportedly claimed that the Oppo Find N5 would be thinner and lighter than any of the company’s previous foldable smartphones.

Perhaps owing to the delay, the Oppo Find N5 has become one of the most anticipated foldable smartphones. However, if other smartphone brands such as Samsung launch a foldable with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, then the Find N5 won’t be the most powerful foldable smartphone of 2025.
