Early Amazon Black Friday deal drops hundreds off Hisense 50-inch 4K Smart TV to £280
by Harriet Morphy-Morris, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/harriet-morphy-morris/ · Birmingham LiveThe first weekend of November has arrived, and for eager shoppers, it signifies the start of the Black Friday Sales. Despite there being 27 days until the official date on November 29, tech and TV deals are already pouring in.
As a Tech Editor, this period involves a lot of price comparisons, hunting for sales, and constantly refreshing webpages to snag the deals as they become available. Big names like Currys, Samsung, and Dyson have already launched their 2024 Black Friday deals, but one of the best bargains I've found is from Amazon, which will delight TV shoppers.
The Prime retailer has slashed the price of the Hisense 50-inch 4K Smart TV by 44%, reducing the cost from £499 to just £278 - a saving of £221 for those willing to shop around. Although Amazon hasn't yet unveiled its official Black Friday sales page, this limited-time offer is worth checking out.

One of the main reasons it tops my recommendation list is the large 50-inch screen size offered at a lower price. A quick glance at Samsung's 55-inch Black Friday OLED deals will show you what a bargain this is.
While it may lack some of the high-end sound-tracking features, its value for money is undeniable, reports the Manchester Evening News.
This is backed up by the fact that 100 Amazon shoppers have bought it in the past month, most of which would have bought it at the previous £499 full price. Another quality, which backs up its 'smart TV on a cheaper budget' is its compatibility with the likes of Sky Stream - if you wanted a swankier hookup then this would be doable thanks to the basic HDMI port cable.
That being said the newly launched Freely - which houses Channel 5, Channel 4, BBC, and ITV - is built within the screen too. As well as voice-remote access to YouTube, Netflix, and Disney+.
Other features include Smooth Motion and Dolby Vision (to brighten colours and appear more vivid). And I'm not the only person who thinks this is a good buy as the overwhelming number of tech deals start to drop this Black Friday month.
"So good I got two", said one recent shopper who praised its 'HDR for gaming and thought it was incredible value for money'. While another shopper said: "It has a wonderful display with good quality pictures. The remote has all the apps for easy access. WiFi connection is easily accessible and there are numerous channels available spoilt for choice."
As with the price of any bargain, there was a small flaw highlighted by this shopper, who said: " There is noticeable motion blurring if anything on the screen is racing about, but I think this is a reasonable compromise for the price."
So, my top pick for the start of Black Friday is the 50-inch Hisense TV, which you can snap up on Amazon for a bargain £278. There are also other deals that have caught my attention, including two more from Amazon; a Panasonic model that's now £70.99 cheaper, and a Samsung 4K Ultra HD model that's been slashed by 19% to just £349.
