MyDigital ID Apologises for ‘Difficulties’, Says MyJPJ Integration is Not Cancelled But Only Postponed

by · WORLD OF BUZZ

A majority of Malaysians were left confused recently after the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) MyJPJ app suddenly announced that users would require a MyDigital ID to be able to log in to the app, with many not even aware of what MyDigital ID is.

Following the hullabaloo, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook announced that MyJPJ’s 10 October deadline for single login using MyDigital ID has been removed.

However, this doesn’t mean that MyDigital ID won’t be used for MyJPJ logins in the future, as according to MyDigital ID, the integration with MyJPJ app is not cancelled but only postponed.

Taking to its official Facebook page, MyDigital ID apologises for all the difficulties faced by users following the announcement of a single login via the national identity management initiative for the MyJPJ app.

The statement elaborated that to ensure the smoothness of the services, the decision has been made to temporarily postpone the use of MyDigital ID single login for the MyJPJ app.

However, MyDigital ID can still be used to log in to the MyJPJ app for users’ easier access.

This confusion was further elaborated by MyDigital ID CEO Mohd Mirza Mohd Noor, who was quoted by BERNAMA as saying,

“The Minister (Loke) has just announced the postponement of the implementation of the single login feature, which allows users to log in with only one account.
“During this suspension period, users can still choose to use their existing MyJPJ login or MyDigital ID to access the application,”
