A Samsung Tab S8 Series

Sky shoppers snap up Samsung's new 2024 Galaxy tablet in 'unmissable' £2 deal

by · Manchester Evening News

Amid an aumtum of Apple iPhone 16 launches Samsung's newest device may have been overlooked, until now as provider Sky is offering a way to split the cost to less than £2 per day. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is a natural iPad rival but there's a much cheaper way to buy it.

Launching alongside its Galaxy Tab S10+ the Ultra comes with a 14.6-inch screen and a new host of AI features. This new tablet gives the previous Tab S9 range a run for its money, as the newest Android tablet on the market and a processor change to tempt eager shoppers to upgrade their work-from-home or on-the-go device.

For £1.13p per day, Sky Mobile is offering a pretty affordable way to do so. Now available on a 36-month long contract it offers those who can't fork out the £1,199 Samsung price an alternative. Locking into the contract and paying a little over £1 a day for the 256GB device.

And its cheaper split price isn't the only incentive. Beating Samsung's own £100 to £300 trade-in offer (you'd need an old tablet for this) Sky is handing out a pair of Galaxy Buds 3 to Tab S10 Ultra shoppers too. This is another flagship new product from the Galaxy brand, the standard retail price is usually £159.

This deal won't appear in your online basket - so don't fret - but in your online order confirmation as Sky says the Buds3 wireless earphones will be "dispatched with your device". As long as you order the Tab S10 Ultra before October 30.

It's one of two current freebie options available for tablet shoppers. As we mentioned above Samsung is running it's own trade-in offer for Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra shoppers, and for those without an older device (to hand over), it's giving away a £339 keyboard with the code S10TAB3.

Previous Galaxy tablet models include the Tab S8 and last years Tab S9 range

But which one is best to go for? In full honesty the AI Book Keyboard is worth more, so Samsung's rival deal will give shoppers a better value freebie gift. This may be ideal for those buying the tablet for work, while Sky Mobile's free Galaxy Buds3 offer would suit lifestyle tablet shoppers - those wanting to watch series or listen to music on the go and don't own a pair of sturdy headphones.

Of course, Samsung's newest tablets are going to be compared to Apple's iPad Pro, and for some the difference will be a simple pick to either iPad OS or Android. While some tech experts believe Apple's new iPad and the M4 chipset still beats Samsung's latest launch.

As Brady Snyder from XDA Developers says the new Samsung model 'needs some work' and claims that "Apple's M4 chipset is the best tablet processor on the planet". If you wanted to buy an iPad instead then Amazon is currently offering the 2022 10.9-inch screen model for £324.97.
