Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition is a 14 inch Lunar Lake convertible with up to a 2.8K, 120 Hz OLED display

Lenovo’s upcoming ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition is a convertible notebook with a list of specs almost impressive enough to justify that mouthful of a name.

It sports a 14 inch screen with support for up to a 2.8K OLED 120 Hz touchscreen display panel, an Intel Core Ultra 200V series processor based on Lunar Lake architecture, up to 32GB of LPDDR5x-8533 on-chip memory, up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage, and plenty of connectivity and I/O features. The new ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 is also an expensive laptop: it will sell for $2200 and up when it hits the streets in February, 2025.

Lenovo says the laptop has an aluminum body that measures 312 x 217 x 18mm (12.3″ x 8.5″ x 0.7″) and weighs 1.3 kg (2.9 pounds). It features support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 and there’s an option for a 5G sub-6 GHz cellular modem.

Webcam choices include FHD or 8MP cameras, both with IR functionality for Windows Hello-compatible face recognition, allowing you to login to Windows or supported apps by looking at the camera. And there’s a privacy shutter to cover the camera when it’s not in use. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the keyboard.

The notebook has stereo speakers and dual microphones with support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Voice, and a 3.5mm audio jack with support for 192 kHz audio output.

The laptop has a 57 Wh customer-replaceable battery and it comes with a 65W USB Type-C power adapter.

Other features include a 360 degree hinge that allows you to position the laptop for use in laptop or tablet modes, a TrackPoint system with a pointing stick in the keyboard as well as a three-button trackpad below the keyboard, and support for pressure-sensitive pen input using a stylus that attaches magnetically to the side of the laptop.

Lenovo is positioning the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition as a Copilot+ PC, which means that it qualifies for Microsoft’s enhanced AI features. But Lenovo says that in addition to Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro, the laptop will be available with Linux.
