Apple's new iPhone 16 being snapped up in 'half price' Sky deal

The new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 plus were announced last week and are available to pre-order now - so this deal is proving very popular.

Apple revealed its iPhone 16 at a yearly launch event in California last week and the eagerly awaited new gadget is now available for pre-order before its release in stores and online this Friday (September 20).

There are already numerous deals on offer, but one that appears to have attracted a lot of attention comes from Sky.

The British telecoms firm and mobile operator is currently offering Apple's latest and most advanced device with half-price data for the first year. This means tech enthusiasts can get their hands on the newest model for as little as £31 for 12 months, then £36 for the remainder of the contract.

Customers can select from four phones in the brand-new iPhone 16 range in several new smart colourways. Apple has launched the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Plus, and iPhone 16 Max. They feature faster A18 processors, a revamped design with tougher Ceramic Shield glass, and the introduction of a new button called Camera Control.

The iPhone 16 deal is proving super popular, with Sky's website seeing a huge demand and wait times reaching up to 10 minutes to order, according to Manchester Evening News. Here's how Sky's deal stacks up:

Like all of Sky Mobile's deals, the new iPhone 16 comes with a Piggybank which allows you to roll over any unused data. It's also possible to change the plan at any point if you need more or less time online.

Just to jog your memory, the new iPhone 16 boasts a more robust design, enhanced rear cameras and a speedier A18 processor. It also features a new Camera Control button on the side for instant access to the camera app, along with innovative ways to switch between styles and zoom in on objects.

The device also introduces the Action Button for quick launching of features such as the Torch - an option previously exclusive to the iPhone Pro models. Expect longer battery life, quicker wireless charging and bold new colours - like Ultramarine - to choose from.

It's fully compatible with the forthcoming Apple Intelligence update set to launch later this year, promising to make Apple's smartphones even smarter.
