Here we have listed the 3 upcoming Kia EVs that are expected to launch next year in India as the brand looks to strengthen its zero-emission lineup

Kia India is working on an assortment of new models for the domestic market as new IC-engined and electric vehicles are waiting in the pipeline. The Carens is getting a facelift midway through next year while a brand new compact SUV positioned between the Sonet and Seltos is also under development. Additionally, three new electric cars are believed to be in the works:

The South Korean auto major currently sells the EV6 and the recently launched EV9 flagship electric SUV as its only zero-emission offerings in India. In 2025, Kia is expected to bring in the facelifted version of the EV6 crossover while the electrified Sonet and Carens are also coming, judging by the spy shots and speculations.

The Syros may also spawn an electric derivative in the pipeline but here we only take a brief look at the Carens EV, recently spied Sonet EV and the updated EV6 as the trio will more likely arrive sometime next year in India.

1. Kia Carens EV:

The Kia Carens EV will likely debut in the second half of next year. Compared to the standard model, the electric version is likely to include additional features and advanced technologies, along with a distinct exterior design to highlight its EV identity. While specific technical details are yet to be revealed, the electrified MPV is expected to offer a claimed range of over 450 km on a single charge.

2. Kia EV6 Facelift:

The facelifted Kia EV6 made its global debut earlier this year in Korea with a host of revisions inside and out and the addition of a new battery pack. On the inside, the curved panoramic screen has been redesigned to accommodate the 12.3-inch instrument console and the 12.3-inch touchscreen along with a new two-spoke steering wheel and a fingerprint reader. Considering the good reception for the EV6 in India, we can expect it to launch sometime in 2025.

3. Kia Sonet EV:

The electric compact SUV segment has been steadily growing and Kia could introduce a brand new model based on the Sonet to rival Tata Punch EV and the upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO EV. It could get a battery pack capable of a claimed range of over 400 km.
