Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition launched, what’s new?

Mahindra has launched a new Boss Edition model for the Scorpio Classic model. The company aims to boost the sales of the Scorpio Classic with this special edition. This brand new Scorpio Classic Boss Edition has received a lot of exterior and interior cosmetic changes. However, it remains same in terms of mechanics and powertrain options.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition: What’s new?

Mahindra has added several new elements in the exterior that gives the SUV a more premium and aggressive look. The Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition has receives ton of dark chrome finish on the exterior. It has dark chrome finish on the grille at the front fascia. Similar dark chrome finish is also seen on the front bonnet scoop, side indicator, door handles, rear quarter glass, and tail lamp. It has a silver skid plate with some more dark chrome on the fog light housings, and a front bumper add-on. The rear reflectors also get the same dark chrome treatment along with a black powder-coated rear guard. Meanwhile, it continues to sport projector headlights, DRLs, and the new twin peaks logo. It also has a reverse parking camera.

On the inside, the list of updates is fairly small. The new Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition comes with new black seat covers with matching black-themed upholstery. It also gets new seat pillows and a comfort kit with cushions and pillows for passengers.

Powertrain options

As mentioned above, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition remained unchanged mechanically. It continues to be powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine, which produces a maximum power of 132 PS and 300 Nm of peak torque. This model is available with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Pricing and competition

Mahindra has not revealed the price for the new Scorpio Classic Boss Edition yet. Meanwhile, the other edition of the Scorpio Classic such as the base Scorpio Classic S variant is priced at Rs 13.61 lakh, the S 9-seater variant costs Rs 13.86 lakh.

Apart from these, there are S11 7-seater and 9-seater variants priced at Rs 17.34 lakh and Rs 17.41 lakh, respectively. The Mahindra Scorpio Classic currently does not have any direct rivals.
