For the first time ever, iOS & iPadOS 18 offer a feature in the Photos app that users have wanted for a long time: looped video playback. This means that when previewing a video in your Photo Library, it will restart from the beginning and play again once the playback reaches its end for a continuous playback that never ends until you swipe away from it.
But jailbreakers don’t need to feel left out. A newly released and free jailbreak tweak called LoopVideos by iOS developer ETHN is now available that brings the same functionality to the native Photos app on jailbroken devices whether they’re using a rootful or rootless jailbreak on iOS & iPadOS 14, 15, or 16.
With no options to configure, you can imagine that the functionality of LoopVideos would be particularly straightforward, and you’d be right about that. Just like in iOS & iPadOS 18, videos that you view in the Photo Library will exhibit looped playback in the same way even on older firmware.
Thanks to ETHN, jailbreakers can have at least one more feature unique to iOS & iPadOS 18 without upgrading to the newer firmware, and that’s just one way that the power of jailbreaking can make older firmware feel more modern.

Just keep in mind that a jailbroken iOS 14, 15, or 16 device is required to make use of LoopVideos.
