Bloodborne running on PC at 4K with 100fps via shadPS4 V0.4.1

by · DSOGaming

YouTube’s ‘GAMESMARK’ has shared a video, showcasing Bloodborne running on PC via the latest version of shadPS4. Version 0.4.1 seems to have fixed the audio issues that the game had. And, as you will see, the game looks almost as good as the PS4 version.

To capture this gameplay footage, GAMESMARK used an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 4070. At 4K, this GPU seems to be able to run the game with framerates between 70FPS and 110FPS. Most of the time, the framerate is around 80-90FPS. However, there are scenes in which the RTX 4070 can push over 100FPS.

I’ve also included a video from an older version of this PS4 emulator. This second video showcases the game running at 4K on an NVIDIA RTX 4090. From what I could see, the minimum framerate on the RTX 4090 at 4K is 100FPS. For the most part, the game runs with 120-130FPS on NVIDIA’s most powerful GPU.

Keep also in mind that we’re talking about a game running on PC via a WIP PS4 emulator. This is truly incredible. Yes, the NVIDIA RTX 4090 is a beast. However, I wasn’t expecting to see Bloodborne running this well, even on that GPU.

According to reports, emulation is still not perfect. As such, you will encounter some visual glitches and issues. Still, the game appears to be fully playable. And yes, you can play it from start to finish.

I still don’t know why Sony has not remastered this game for PS5 and PC. There was a rumor suggesting that Sony may remake it for the PS6. You know, like they did with Demon’s Souls. Still, there is a huge PC crowd right now that would make them a lot of money. A lot of PC gamers would love to get a native PC version. So yeah, I don’t know what Sony has been smoking.

And you know what’s even more crazy? There are already two HD Texture Packs that you can download and use with shadPS4. The first pack overhauls numerous textures, whereas the second one focuses on armors.

Before closing, V0.4.1 is not available on the shadPS4 website. My guess is that this is a nightly build. So, right now, there is no ETA on when these Bloodborne fixes will find their way to the public version.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
