PROVO — BYU football announced the addition of four future series Wednesday, a cancellation of two, and rescheduled a variety of more future matchups.

The Cougars announced future home-and-home series with California, Boston College, Oregon State and Colorado State, beginning with a two-game set against the Golden Bears — now of the ACC — beginning in 2026 in Provo and a return trip to Berkley in 2027.

BYU will also host Boston College out of the ACC in 2028, with a return trip to Chestnut Hill scheduled for 2029 for the fourth and fifth all-time meetings between the Cougars and Eagles dating back to 1985.

Oregon State will visit BYU in 2027, with the Cougars making the return trip to Corvallis in 2028. It will be the first time BYU has played at Reser Stadium since 2011 in a series that the Beavers lead 6-5 all-time.

Colorado State will host its former Mountain West foe in 2026, with the Rams making a return trip to Provo in 2029. That 2026 meeting will be the first since the two schools shared the same conference in 2010, but will be earmarked for Colorado State's inaugural campaign in the Pac-12.

The two teams hold the longest historical series of the four announced future slates, with BYU holding a 37-29-3 all-time advantage over the Rams that includes a seven-game winning streak dating back to 2004.

Previously scheduled series against Army (2020, 2032) and Ole Miss (2028, 2029) have also been canceled, BYU announced.

Nine future opponents have been moved to accomodate the new series, including three games that were initially canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. On that note, BYU will return a trip to Northern Illinois that was scheduled for that year in 2030, and added home dates with Michigan State in 2032 and Missouri in 2035.

The Cougars will host SMU in 2031 instead of 2027, the return game of a two-game series that began this year. A previously undated home game with Navy has also been added to the 2031 schedule, and the Cougars will host Coastal Carolina in 2033 after initially visiting the Chanticleers in a hastily scheduled game in 2020.

A nonconference road trip to Virginia Tech has been shifted from 2026 to 2033, and a trip to Sun Belt Conference foe Troy has been moved from 2026 to 2035. The Cougars will also host South Florida in 2034, a change from its initial 2026 contract.
