Gary Neville has offered his prediction for Liverpool's trip to Wolves this weekend. Arne Slot's team will be chasing a fourth consecutive win when they travel to Molineux on Saturday.

The Reds' strong form follows a good response to their shock 2-1 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest. Liverpool have comfortably beaten AC Milan, Bournemouth and West Ham since losing to Forest on September 14.

Slot's side currently sit second in the Premier League table and are just a point behind league leaders Manchester City. It's set to be a busy few months for Liverpool, who also have to negotiate Champions League and Carabao Cup fixtures.

And former Manchester United captain Neville has offered his verdict on Liverpool's match against Wolves. He predicts a late winner in the West Midlands.

“I’m going to go 2-1 to Liverpool,” he said on the Overlap. "I think it’ll be 1-1 and Liverpool will score a late winner.”

Neville has completely dismissed Liverpool’s title chances this season. Despite the Reds' encouraging start to the campaign, the Sky Sports pundit does not believe Slot's team will be crowned champions.

Reacting to Manchester City’s draw with Arsenal alongside Jamie Carragher on the Gary Neville Podcast, the subject of Liverpool’s title chances was put to Carragher. Before he could answer though, Neville said: “They won’t win the title.”

Neville's verdict came after he predicted that Liverpool may miss out on the top four in his season predictions. “We have to go Arsenal and Manchester City because we all collectively agree,” he said on Stick to Football last month.

“I do [agree about Manchester United getting in the top four]. I am not sure [on Liverpool getting top four].”
