Cardiff Rugby favourite Thomas Young will play for the first time this season against Edinburgh on Saturday.

Young has recovered from injury to take the number seven jersey for the visit to the Scottish capitial. The Welsh team will be captained by outside-half Callum Sheedy, who has one final chance to convince Warren Gatland he is worthy of a Wales recall before Monday's autumn squad announcement.

Back row Alex Mann also returns from injury to take a place on the bench, which is where Ben Thomas will start the game after a recent run of starts.

Mason Grady moves from wing to outside centre to partner Rory Jennings, while the likes of Taulupe Faletau and Josh Adams remain unavailable.

Dafydd Hughes starts at hooker, with Evan Lloyd thankfully fit enough to take a place on the bench amid injuries to Liam Belcher and Efan Daniel.

Edinburgh have made five changes, with Scotland forwards D'Arcy Rae, Marshall Sykes and Luke Crosbie all returning, while prop Boan Venter also comes into the side. Scotland centre Matt Currie makes his first start of the season.
