How to watch Ireland v New Zealand on TNT and Discovery+
by Dylan James · Wales OnlineNew Zealand take on Ireland in the biggest clash of autumn internationals tonight.
The rivalry between these two nations is arguably the most potent in world rugby right now. Their last meeting came over a year ago in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup, where Ian Foster's team defeated the Irish 28-24, despite conceding two yellow cards.
The end of the match was marred by a spat between Rieko Ioane and Johnny Sexton, adding further fuel to the fire. Ioane kept that beef going with a social media post aimed at Sexton in October.
On top of that, another element to their rivalry is the fact that three of Ireland's key players originally come from New Zealand, but qualified to play for the Irish on ancestry grounds. Bundee Aki, James Lowe and Jamison Gibson-Park will likely go down as Ireland greats, but were born and raised in the southern hemisphere.
The two teams have played some incredible matches in years gone by, with many often going right down to the wire. For example, in 2013, the Irish were defeated by a last-gasp Ryan Crotty try to lose the game 24-22 - which is the same margin England lost by to New Zealand last week.
Here is everything you need to know about this mammoth clash.

“We are really pleased with how the squad has come through this week and our focus has turned quickly to this encounter post-England. We have trained well, and the players are fresh and ready to face a fierce challenge from the Ireland team.”
