Yankees on verge of World Series after latest Emmanuel Clase meltdown

The Yankees wavered, but took a commanding 3-1 series lead in the ALCS.

After seeing a 6-2 lead over the Guardians evaporate, the Yankees regained the lead in the top of the ninth inning — off of closer Emmanuel Clase again — en route to their 8-6 win in Game 4.

Juan Soto’s two-run homer in the first inning gave the Yankees an early lead.
