LeBron James whines about Lakers’ preseason trip to Milwaukee

· New York Post

LeBron James doesn’t seem to be too thrilled about having to trek to Milwaukee for “1 pre-season game.”

The Lakers superstar posted on social media Wednesday about the quick trip to Wisconsin for an exhibition game with the Bucks, appearing to be annoyed by the prospect of going that far.

“Can someone please explain to me why we’re getting on a [plane emoji] and heading to Milwaukee for 1 pre-season game!?!?” James wrote on X.

Los Angeles finds itself in a bit of a nomadic situation thanks to renovations currently underway at Crypto.com Arena.

The Lakers have a six-game preseason slate this year and all of those games will be taking place away from their home arena.

Their first two games of the preseason were played in Palm Desert, Calif. which is a roughly two-hour bus ride from the team’s practice facility in El Segundo.

Once they play Milwaukee, the Lakers will face Golden State in Las Vegas, the Suns in Phoenix and head to San Francisco to face the Warriors again.

ESPN reported that the Lakers are headed to Milwaukee to face the Bucks in order to hold up their end of the bargain as part of a prearranged home-and-home preseason series with the Bucks.

Last year, the Bucks made the trip to Hollywood to face the Lakers in the preseason.

Head coach JJ Redick called the preseason travel schedule “not an ideal” one for the Lakers.

The Lakers will open the regular season at home Oct. 22 when the Lakers face the Timberwolves.

James and his son, Bronny, are preparing to play alongside each other in a regular-season game for the first time after becoming the first father-son duo to do so in a preseason game earlier this month.
