Gerrit Cole was as fired up as anyone after Juan Soto made a crucial catch on the warning track to end the seventh inning before the Yankees clinched a spot in the ALCS with a Game 4 win over the Royals on Thursday night.

Kyle Isbel sent a deep shot to right field right to the wall, but the high fly ball came up just short of going over the wall, allowing Soto to make the catch with his back against the fence.

The TBS broadcast caught an exuberant Cole yell as he made his way off the mound after had made it through seven frames while helping to keep the Bronx Bombers in front.

Cole had an impressive outing, with the righty giving up just one run on six hits and striking out four before Clay Holmes came into the game to start the eighth inning.

The Yankees ace completed seven, striking out four and allowing just one run.

The righty was making his second start of the postseason on Thursday night in Kansas City after pitching in Game 1 in The Bronx, where he got the win in a contest in which he allowed seven hits and four runs.

The Yankees will now either play the Guardians or Tigers in the ALCS.
