Madueke or Neto decision, Nkunku benched - Predicted Chelsea line-up for Brighton clash

Bobby Vincent shares his predicted Chelsea team for their Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday afternoon as the Blues look to continue their strong form

Chelsea made 11 changes to their side for Tuesday night's game with Barrow in the Carabao Cup third round.

The Blues cruised to a 5-0 victory at Stamford Bridge with their second string team doing the business - and then some against the League Two side. Despite plenty of players making a real claim to keep their place for this afternoon's Premier League meeting with Brighton, we expect Enzo Maresca to make several changes yet again.

After three straight wins in all competitions, Chelsea will be looking to make it four in a row against the Seagulls for the first time since Maresca took charge. But what team will the Italian look to do that with? Bobby Vincent gives you his prediction below...

GK: Robert Sanchez

Filip Jorgensen did well against Barrow. The Danish goalkeeper dealt well with a physical attacking approach from the League Two side. Despite this, Sanchez looks set to return to the side today.(Image: Visionhaus)

RB: Malo Gusto

Gusto could return to Premier League action for the first time since the start of the month. The French right-back played 45 minutes on his return from a thigh injury against Barrow in the week.(Image: Charlotte Wilson/Offside)

CB: Wesley Fofana

Fofana came off against West Ham last weekend and was pictured with strapping on his knee. However, Maresca insisted it was nothing to be concerned about after the game so the Frenchman is likely to be asked to go again after being rested against Barrow.(Image: Crystal Pix/MB Media/Getty Images)

CB: Levi Colwill

The outstanding defender for Chelsea this season. Colwill will be determined to keep his great form up against Brighton, the place where he spent a season on loan in the past.(Image: Justin Setterfield)

LB: Marc Cucurella

Maresca spoke glowingly about Cucurella and his importance to the Chelsea side during the head coach's press conference on Friday. Another one set to face his former club this afternoon.(Image: Justin Setterfield)

CM: Moises Caicedo

And another one. Caicedo was in fabulous form last weekend at West Ham and will be hoping to get one over on his previous employers and keep his form up.(Image: Chris Lee - Chelsea FC)

CM: Enzo Fernandez

Fernandez was handed a rest in midweek. Named in the squad, but not used from the bench, the Argentine is expected to return to the XI this afternoon.(Image: Justin Setterfield)

RW: Noni Madueke

This is a big decision. Madueke started the season superbly but has somewhat tailed off in recent games and with Pedro Neto performing well on Tuesday, and scoring his first goal for the club, there is some debate. However, Maresca is likely to go with Madueke once again.(Image: Chris Lee - Chelsea FC)

CAM: Cole Palmer

Palmer will start, we all know that. He was given a well deserved rest in the week against Barrow so he will be raring to go at Stamford Bridge once again.(Image: Justin Setterfield)

LW: Jadon Sancho

Likewise, Sancho was not included in the squad on Tuesday. Mykhailo Mudryk showed glimpses against Barrow but not enough to warrant a start over Sancho, who has made a great start to life at Chelsea.(Image: Justin Setterfield)

ST: Nicolas Jackson

Jackson or Christopher Nkunku? Surely this will be the decision weighing the most on Maresca's mind over the last few days. Despite Nkunku bagging himself a hat-trick on Tuesday, Jackson's impressive double at West Ham may well sway Maresca to pick the Senegalese forward instead.(Image: Ben Whitley/PA Wire.)
