Arsenal next five fixtures compared to Liverpool and Man City in Premier League title race

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta will be hoping a dominant Carabao Cup victory over Preston can increase confidence levels heading into the weekend clash at Newcastle. Gabriel Jesus, Ethan Nwaneri and Kai Havertz were all on target at Deepdale with the Gunners sealing a spot in the quarter-finals as a result.

Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes both missed the clash because of differing issues with Arteta hopeful both can make Saturday's trip to St James' Park. With a return to Premier League action on the horizon, Arsenal will be keen to avoid a three-game winless run following the draw with Liverpool and previous weekend's loss to Bournemouth.

Mikel Arteta's side currently sit in third, four points behind leaders Liverpool, with Man City occupying second place after their last-gasp win over Wolves. All three teams now have challenging fixtures before and after the November international break.

With that said, football.london has taken a look at Arsenal's upcoming fixtures and the ones awaiting title rivals Man City and Liverpool.

Arsenal's next five fixtures

November 2 vs Newcastle (A) at 12.30pm - Premier League

The hard fixtures continue for Arsenal as they make the long trip to St James' Park for a clash against Crystal Palace. Last season's fixture at the same venue was engulfed in controversy as the Magpies won 1-0 with it just one of five league defeats the Gunners suffered.

November 6 vs Inter Milan (A) at 8pm - Champions League

A Champions League clash then arrives for Arsenal with Mikel Arteta hoping his side keep their unbeaten European record intact against Inter. On their last trip to Italy, just over four weeks ago, the Gunners were met by a stubborn Atalanta and will thus face a very similar test in terms of difficulty.

November 10 vs Chelsea (A) at 4.30pm - Premier League

A fourth consecutive away game is also on the horizon with Arsenal making the short trip to Stamford Bridge to face London rivals Chelsea. The November international break follows this game and therefore the Gunners will be keen to head into the two-week pause off the back of a win.

November 23 vs Nottingham Forest (H) at 3pm - Premier League

For the first time in nearly four weeks, Arsenal will be back at Emirates Stadium to face Nottingham Forest. The Gunners will certainly be favourites, though Nuno Espirito Santo's side have been impressive so far this season and boast a strong defensive record.

November 26 vs Sporting CP (A) at 8pm - Champions League

Arsenal are back on their travels at the end of November with a trip to Portugal to come for a clash against Sporting CP. By that point, the Portuguese champions will likely have a new manager with Ruben Amorim set to become Manchester United's new head coach following the departure of Erik ten Hag.

Liverpool

November 2 vs Brighton (H) at 3pm - Premier League

November 5 vs Bayer Leverkusen (H) at 8pm - Champions League

November 9 vs Aston Villa (H) at 8pm - Premier League

November 24 vs Southampton (A) at 2pm - Premier League

November 27 vs Real Madrid (H) at 8pm - Champions League

Manchester City

November 2 vs AFC Bournemouth (A) at 3pm - Premier League

November 5 vs Sporting CP (A) at 8pm - Champions League

November 9 vs Brighton (A) at 5.30pm - Premier League

November 23 vs Tottenham (H) at 5.30pm - Premier League

November 26 vs Feyenoord (H) at 8pm - Champions League
