We may only be two months into the 2024/25 Premier League campaign but information about Chelsea's Nike shirts for next season is already doing the rounds online. There is always plenty to say come football shirt release day and this season was certainly no different.

Nike designed a rather bold home jersey for the west London club and it certainly got fans talking. This time opting for a hint of orange in the shirts and shorts with iridescent logos used once again, the main talking point in regards to the design was the water-like effect across the shirt as it features a number of thin white lines and lighter blue elements.

Chelsea's away and third kits haven't come in for as much criticism, though. Nike's away design is light beige and features blue and orange on the shirt, with the third kit mainly black with pink and yellow accents. So what exactly will Chelsea's Nike shirts in the 2025/25 look like? Here is everything we know so far.

Home shirt

It will be all change for the home shirt next season with a notable feature that is sure to please Chelsea supporters. According to popular website Footy Headlines, the Blues will be moving away from their current badge and instead opting for just the lion as their crest on the 2025/26 home shirt.

This idea will give the new home jersey a rather retro look about it, which was very much the case back in 2020 with the special edition shirt Chelsea wore in the FA Cup against Nottingham Forest to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their 1970 FA Cup triumph. Not only that, the lion comes with a red shadow to make it look even more striking.

Red also looks set to feature prominently on the shirt, as reported by kit insider Gol de Sergio, along with some white. The colours for next season are officially known as 'Rush Blue' and 'Speed Red'.

Chelsea have opted for red on their home shirt previously, notably in the early 1990s, the 2010/11 season and in 2015/16.

Away shirt

Gol de Sergio has also confirmed the colours Chelsea will be using when it comes to their Nike away shirt for 2025/26. Using a whole host of different colours in the past, the west London club look set to draw inspiration 50 years on from their 1974/75 away shirt.

Chelsea's shirt from that season was mainly white but featured two distinctive red and green vertical stripes down the middle of the jersey. It is not clear yet if they will replicate the exact away design from 1974/75, but they look set to use similar colours.

The main colour of the shirt is set to be off-white and it will be combined with a dark military green and red details. Alongside the red detail, the other colours for next season are officially known as 'Phantom' and 'Galactic Jade'. The information from Gol de Sergio and Footy Headlines suggests that Chelsea will be using their current crest rather than just opting for the lion as will be the case on their home shirt.
