It’s a return to Premier League action for Arsenal this weekend after they overcame Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Standing in their way is another newly-promoted side in Southampton. The Saints will be looking to cause an upset, with the team winless in their first six Premier League matches so far this season.

For Arsenal, they will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to nine games in all competitions. The Gunners were made to work hard to take all three points against Leicester in their last league outing with a late own goal and an even later one from Kai Havertz earning Mikel Arteta’s side a valuable win.

Ahead of the match against Southampton Arsenal sit in third place in the Premier League table. They are one point behind leaders Liverpool and level on points with Man City in second place.

It therefore places more importance on picking up all three points. With that in mind, here is everything you need to know about following the game.

When is the game?

The games will be played on Saturday, 5 October with kick-off at 3pm BST. The match is being played at the Emirates Stadium.
