Newsboy’s horseracing tips for Monday’s five meetings, including Windsor Nap

Newsboy fancies his nap, Lhebayeb, to win at Windsor and also hopes Balmoral Lady can score on the same card and complete his Daily Double

LHEBAYEB is fancied to take advantage of a falling mark with a win in the Get Raceday Ready Handicap (Div I) (3.42) at Windsor on Monday.

Three times a winner in late summer, including on Thameside, for Victor Dartnall in 2023, the six-year-old daughter of Alhebayeb has been out of luck in four starts for Richard Price this season.

But Lhebayeb has dropped in the weights as a result – while her last success came from a British Horseracing Authority mark of 59, she competes from 55 this afternoon.

And she showed more in a heavy-ground handicap at Bath 13 days ago, travelling strongly before flattening out to finish fifth to Sonnet Star.

If she can build on that, then her current rating will prove well within reach.

In winning action on that Bath card was BALMORAL LADY, who has obvious claims of the follow-up in the Ivor Laws Memorial Handicap (3.12).

Ridden by Billy Loughnane – Hollie Doyle is in the plate here – Ed Walker’s daughter of Invincible Army proved a neck too strong for Mr Bluebird.

The assessor couldn’t get carried away, and, with the Walker team entering the final weeks of the season in top form, Balmoral Lady is expected to defy a 3lb rise.
