Terry Bradshaw's remark, during what should've been a spotlight moment for Michael Strahan as he announced his Texas Southern University Hall of Fame induction on live TV, might have left viewers scratching their heads.

While Strahan was sharing the news of his honour from a historically Black college and mentioning his impressive track record including setting a school record with 19 sacks in a season, and earning the title of SWAC Defensive Player of the Year twice Bradshaw chimed in with a quip, taking the shine off Strahan's achievements.

Strahan had a special segment before the FOX Sunday NFL analysis where he voiced his appreciation, proudly stating, "I gotta say thank you to Texas Southern University for putting me in the Hall of Fame on Friday night," whilst clapping for himself as his colleagues like Rob Gronkowski and Howie Long applauded alongside.

It was a historical accolade for Strahan, as it marked Texas Southern University's first Hall of Fame induction since 1996. But as Strahan basked in the recognition, Bradshaw couldn't resist adding some lightheartedness to the broadcast, jokingly claiming, "That is not true. I went in." Strahan quickly quipped back with a sharp retort, saying: "You didn't go to Texas Southern."

Strahan, ever quick-witted, continued: "We would have known, you would have stood out," playfully suggesting that Bradshaw's presence at an HBCU like Texas Southern would have been quite noticeable.

The rest of the panel joined in on the fun, supporting Strahan's playful jab and keeping the mood upbeat before they turned their attention to the upcoming Sunday football games. The laughs didn't stop there; during the Week 5 episode, NFL insider Jay Glazer found himself dunked in a water tank by Strahan as part of a comical pitching challenge, which also featured baseball legends Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, and David Ortiz.

Meanwhile, Bradshaw has faced some heat for his on-air shenanigans, with a few voices even suggesting it might be time for him to hang up his hat. Last week, Bradshaw drew flak on social media after adopting a questionable Carolina accent while previewing the game between the Carolina Panthers and the Las Vegas Raiders.

His attempt at humor left many viewers confused and prompted a backlash online. While some dismissed it as a harmless gag, others were not amused, considering it a form of ridicule. Calls for his departure from FOX, where he has been a mainstay since 1994, have surfaced among the criticism.

Social media has been buzzing with NFL fans commenting on Terry Bradshaw's recent on-air performance, with one exasperated supporter posting: "Terry Bradshaw, I'm so sorry, but I can't even understand you anymore. Please leave the studio, man."

Another fan expressed their bemusement in a tweet that remarked: "Terry Bradshaw sounded like Forrest Gump-I've lived in NC for 25 years, and I've never heard anyone sound like that."

North Carolinians, feeling unfairly portrayed, have voiced their upset online, with remarks including, "C'mon Terry, the people of North Carolina have suffered enough this week." Since transitioning to sportscasting in the 1980s after his illustrious NFL career, which saw him snag four Super Bowl championships with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bradshaw has remained a familiar face to football fans.
