Jose Mourinho gets wiped out by Fenerbahce star - and is mocked by ex-players
Former Premier League manager Jose Mourinho joined Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce over the summer and has already had quite the eventful start to life in Istanbul
by Tom Victor · The MirrorJose Mourinho warned his fellow coaches to avoid wearing the same colour as players in training sessions after he was wiped out while putting his Fenerbahce team through their paces.
The former Manchester United and Chelsea boss shared footage from a recent session, where he had his Fener players involved in a small-sided game. Half were wearing black, with the remainder donning bright orange bibs.
A few seconds into the clip, with the ball being passed around, a Fenerbahce player takes Mourinho down from behind. A couple of others check he's okay before he's helped to his feet and limps away.
"Lesson to young coaches - ”never wear same colour as players”," Mourinho wrote in the caption. "They can pass you the ball….or kick you from behind."
Mourinho also tagged Fenerbahce midfielder Ismail Yuksek, the player thought to be responsible for the incident in the clip. There are also mentions for former Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini and ex-Roma defender Marash Kumbulla, perhaps indicating this kind of thing has happened before.
A number of ex-players clearly enjoyed what they saw. Former Chelsea pair John Terry and Willian both replied with a series of cry-laughing emojis, while other had more varied responses.
"Well deserved," replied former Mourinho favourite Nemanja Matic. Kumbulla appeared more apologetic after being called out, though, writing "Sorry again mister".

Mourinho's post comes hot on the heels of him confirming his comments about his desire for a Premier League relegation battle were made in jest. "I made a joke. I'm never going to a team fighting relegation. I will never go," he told Sky Sports.
"I get upset, and I'm not in the period of my career to get upset. I'm in the period of my career to be happy all the time and at this moment playing in European competitions, I am getting upset all the time.
"But I'm not going to fight relegation. It's too hard! Honestly, I believe that has to be the hardest thing. It's more difficult than playing for titles. It has to be very hard emotionally, because it's something that changes lives. I think it's brave guys that do it."
The Fenerbahce boss has been getting his players ready for a tricky Super Lig match away to Trabzonspor on Sunday. Mourinho's team sit third in the table at the time of writing, but with a game in hand on Galatasaray and Samsunspor above them.
After that comes a Europa League test away to AZ Alkmaar. A draw at home to Manchester United in the last gameweek leaves Fenerbahce a couple of points adrift of automatic qualification for the round of 16.
