Scoring goals has proven quite a task for some players in EA FC 25, but using power shots seems to be a new meta. Here's how to do a power shot in EA FC 25.

EA FC 25 has been out for a few weeks now, but the gameplay is once again the main complaint for many, with players finding it difficult to score in the newest EA Sports FC instalment. Stiff dribbling, poor passing, and dumbed-down AI are some of the issues players are having with EA Sports ' latest game, and for a large chunk of players, shooting is also incredibly inconsistent.

No gameplay updates have been made by EA yet with an update to the menus arriving instead, so unless you're using players with shooting PlayStyles like Finesse Shot or Trivela, scoring goals, especially from outside the box, can be difficult. But, one way around that is by using power shots, with EA FC 25 power shots seeming to be one of the best ways to score goals from long range.

Here's how to power shot in EA FC 25 on every platform:

  • PS5 / PS4 – hold R1 and L1 and press O to shoot
  • Xbox Series X |S – hold RB and LB and press B to shoot
  • PC – hold left shift, press D and left-click to shoot

A power shot in EA FC 25 is relatively easy to perform, but you must also take into consideration when to use it. Power shots are most useful when shooting from long distance and when slightly to the left or right of the centre of the box, but make sure you have the space to do so, as the prolonged shooting animation gives the opposition a short time window to steal the ball from you.

When performing a power shot, the aim becomes extremely sensitive, so make sure you don't rush it, or your attempted wondergoal could end up travelling towards the corner flag!

At the time of writing, 24 player items in Ultimate Team possess the Power Shot PlayStyle Plus. If you attempt a power shot with these players, your power shots will have much better power and accuracy, while the animation is quicker.
