Fernandes slipped as he tackled James Maddison, with referee Chris Kavanagh showing the playmaker a straight red card for serious foul play.

But United successfully appealed the decision with the FA, meaning Fernandes is now available for their next three Premier League games.

A statement from United said: “ The FA has confirmed that Bruno Fernandes will be available for our next three games following a successful claim of wrongful dismissal against Tottenham on Sunday.”
