Prince William's reaction to stunning Aston Villa winner vs Bayern says it all

Aston Villa fan Prince William was in attendance for their Champions League showdown with Bayern Munich on Wednesday night - and he did not leave disappointed after a last-gasp Jhon Duran strike

A delighted Prince William was caught revelling in the moment following Aston Villa's dramatic late winner against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The Prince of Wales, 42, is huge Villa fan and has often been seen at some of their biggest games at Villa Park. And he was among those present on Wednesday night as Unai Emery's side hosted Bayern in a re-run of the 1982 European Cup final.

With time running out, up stepped substitute Jhon Duran to rifle home a stunning winner - and William was right in the thick of the celebrations.

He was shown on television earlier in the tie but the smile was soon wiped from his face when a Villa goal was ruled out by VAR.

But he was far happier when he was shown again later in the game applauding with a huge grin on his face following Duran's 79th minute strike, which capped another famous European night for Villa.

Duran's latest intervention from the bench means Villa have won both of their fixtures in the Champions League this term after thrashing Young Boys in their opening tie last month.

And a famous triumph over Bayern Munich is the perfect fuel for Emery's side ahead of their huge domestic showdown with Manchester United at Villa Park on Sunday.
