A brand-new event based on the Ballon d'Or has been leaked to arrive in EA FC 25, featuring a host of new additions to Ultimate Team

To celebrate the 2024 Ballon d'Or awards, EA Sports is set to release an EA FC 25 Ballon d'Or event in Ultimate Team, featuring log-in rewards and brand-new packs.

We haven't been short on content in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team so far, with new promos being released weekly while Party Bag upgrades, Icon upgrades and Hero upgrades are available as SBCs. The EA FC 25 Trailblazers promo is currently live in-game with the Team 2 squad in Ultimate Team packs, but it seems a never-seen-before promo will be coming soon – an EA FC 25 Ballon d'Or event.

The Ballon d'Or is the most prestigious individual trophy in football, with Manchester City's Rodri winning the men's Ballon d'Or and Barcelona Women's Aitana Bonmati winning the women's trophy this time around. EA Sports managed to secure the licensing for the Ballon d'Or in EA FC 24 which saw the trophy ceremony come to Career Mode, but for the first time ever, we look set to receive an EA FC 25 Ballon d'Or event in Ultimate Team.

EA FC 25 Ballon d'Or event start time

With this being labelled as an event, rather than a promo, the EA FC 25 Ballon d'Or start time is Friday, November 8 at 8am GMT / 3am EST / 12am PST, starting the same day as the upcoming Centurions promo. The event was confirmed by EA Sports via an Ultimate Team loading screen, which also confirmed the Ballon d'Or card design.

With the Ballon d'Or having already taken place in real life, there was probably a rush to make sure this event begins sooner rather than later, and with leaks revealing that there will be a Ballon d'Or weekend event taking place, we expect the event will last until Monday, November 11 at 8am GMT / 3am EST / 12am PST.

EA FC 25 Ballon d'Or event confirmed rewards

The Ultimate Team loading screen has revealed that the promo will only consist of loan cards, with loan player picks containing five Ballon d'Or nominees available as daily log-in packs. EA has also confirmed that these Ballon d'Or special items will not be available in packs, which is a bit pointless.

The loan items you receive aren't completely useless though, as you'll need to use these loan items to complete Ballon d'Or-themed Objectives to earn rewards over the weekend. This is all that's been confirmed by EA so far, but there may be more Ballon d'Or-themed content released over the weekend, including Evolutions and Rush events.
